Never use the results from any tool on this site as a substitute for the professional judgement of a licensed pharmacist, physician or other qualified healthcare provider. Always consult a qualified professional before making any decision about medication use, dosing or treatment.

What this site is

RxTools Pro is an online library of pharmacy and clinical reference tools. Our tools are designed to provide general pharmaceutical information, perform standard clinical calculations and help users understand medication-related concepts. They are used by patients, caregivers, pharmacy students, pharmacists and clinicians as a reference resource.

Think of our tools the way you'd think of a medical reference textbook. A textbook contains accurate, evidence-based information. But a textbook can't examine a patient, account for individual clinical context or replace the judgement of the clinician holding it. Our tools work the same way.

Tool-specific limitations

๐Ÿ’Š Drug interaction checkers

Results are based on published pharmacological data. They flag potential interactions but cannot assess clinical significance in the context of a specific patient's full history, dose, renal function and other factors.

โš–๏ธ Dosage calculators

Calculated doses are mathematical results only. They must be verified by a pharmacist or prescriber before any medication is prepared or administered. They don't account for clinical context, comorbidities or individual variation.

๐Ÿ” Pill identifier

Identification results are based on imprint, color and shape databases. Results must be confirmed by a licensed pharmacist before any unidentified tablet is taken. Counterfeit pills may have misleading imprints.

๐Ÿงฎ Clinical calculators

BMI, BSA, creatinine clearance, eGFR and similar results are estimates based on population-derived formulas. They may not accurately reflect individual physiology, especially in extreme body habitus or acute illness.

๐Ÿคฑ Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Drug safety information for pregnancy and breastfeeding is evolving and context-dependent. Always consult an obstetric pharmacist or specialist before making any medication decision during pregnancy or lactation.

๐Ÿ“š Patient education tools

Side effect information, contraindication lists and drug class descriptions are general reference data. Individual patients may have different risk profiles. Discuss any concerns with your pharmacist or doctor.

Information currency

Drug information changes. New interactions are discovered. Guidelines are updated. Regulatory agencies issue new warnings. We make reasonable efforts to keep our databases current, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of information is up to date at the moment you access it.

For the most current prescribing information for any specific medication, always refer to the current Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) or Prescribing Information (PI) from the regulatory authority in your country.

No patient-provider relationship

Using RxTools Pro does not create a patient-provider relationship, a pharmacist-patient relationship or any other professional healthcare relationship between you and RxTools Pro or its operators. We are not your pharmacist, doctor or healthcare provider.

Jurisdiction and local variations

Drug availability, approved indications, dosing guidelines and regulatory status vary significantly between countries. Information on this site is intended as general international reference and may not reflect the approved use, dose or availability of a medication in your specific country. Always check local prescribing information and national guidelines.

๐Ÿ“‹ Every tool on RxTools Pro displays an inline disclaimer reminding you to verify results with a qualified pharmacist or prescriber. This site-wide disclaimer is the authoritative version and applies in addition to those inline reminders.
